Our farm's assistant horse trainer, Emily Plocha, will be teaching the art summer camps. Emily attended art school in Paris, France and then went on to be a professional artist in New York City. Her two life-long passions are art and horses and we are very excited she is sharing her two loves with our campers this summer.
Emily has prepared unique nature-art for our campers to explore, imagine and ultimately create a special work of art to bring home daily. Utilizing not only traditional art supplies but also supplies from nature, our campers will be able to explore the farm, run/jump/play amongst their peers and have fun while also learning/creating. Please note this is an "Art on the Farm" camp and was not originally a horseback riding camp, however we have had multiple requests to add riding time to the camp so those campers that are interested in riding will also have this opportunity during camp hours. Additionally, riding lessons may be scheduled after camp hours upon request and subject to availability.
Our farm is a 15-acre pasture land with a 25-stall horse barn and multiple riding arenas and fenced paddocks and a large pond. We have an air-conditioned large tack room and a clean modern bathroom. A typical day will be spent outside in our green pastures as well as our wooded areas and then back to the cool barn to create our art. Campers are advised to wear sunscreen, long pants with closed toe shoes and bring a large wattle bottle.
Drop-off times may be as early as 8:50am and as late as 9:10am, but please try to remain within this window as we start our first morning activity by 9:15am. Campers may sign-up to stay from 9-12 or they may stay until 2pm. Our 12noon campers are required to bring a daily snack and our 2pm campers are required to bring a lunch. The bulk of the art creation curriculum is from 9-12, afterwards our campers enjoy lunch and fun supervised play around the farm.
Give the gift of the beautiful outdoors this summer where your child can meet new friends, engage with positive role models and develop their self-confidence creating their own unique artwork. We encourage an "un-plugged" outdoor experience, engaging moments with animals and even getting their hands dirty on the farm. We hope your child can join us for our nature focused
"Art on the Farm" summer camp 2023.
We can offer a refund up to 30 days prior to your camp arrival date, less the processing fee of 10%, after this time we can only offer a 50% refund.
